Greensfelder County Park is a large natural area in western St. Louis County, Missouri. It covers about 1,734 acres, which is like 1,300 football fields! This park is located in the city of Wildwood. It is a fantastic place for outdoor adventures and exploring nature. Greensfelder is also part of the Henry Shaw Ozark Corridor, a special area for conservation.

The Park's History
The land for Greensfelder County Park was given to St. Louis County in 1963. It was a gift from a group called the St. Louis Regional Planning and Construction Foundation. This foundation was started in 1939 by a person named Albert P. Greensfelder.
The park was first called Rockwood Park. But in 1965, it was renamed to honor Albert P. Greensfelder. This change recognized his important role in creating the park.

The trails in Greensfelder Park connect to other nearby natural areas. They link up with the Rockwoods Reservation to the northeast. They also connect to the Rockwoods Range Conservation Area to the west. Together, these areas form a huge network of trails, stretching for about 25 miles!

For those who love to stay overnight, Greensfelder Park has a campsite. You can enjoy sleeping under the stars. The park also has stables, which means it's a great spot for horse lovers to ride their horses.
