Gregory Mark Pascoe Searle (born March 20, 1972) is a famous British rower. He has won many medals at the Olympic Games and World Rowing Championships. Greg went to Hampton School and London South Bank University.

Rowing Career Highlights
Greg Searle is an Olympic gold medalist. He won his first gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He competed in the coxed pairs event with his brother Jonny Searle and their cox, Garry Herbert.
World Championships Success
After his Olympic win, Greg also earned a gold medal at the World Rowing Championships in 1993. He won this medal with his brother, Jonny, again in the coxed pair. In 1995, he won a silver medal in the coxless four event.
More Olympic Medals
At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Greg won another medal. He finished third, earning a bronze medal in the coxless four event. After Atlanta, he tried a different type of rowing called single scull. He won a bronze medal at the 1997 World Rowing Championships in this event. He also won the single sculls' event at the famous Henley Royal Regatta that same year.
At the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Greg competed in the men's pair with Ed Coode. They finished in a close fourth place.
Return to Rowing
After taking a break from international rowing, Greg returned at age 38. He competed in the 2010 World Rowing Championships and won a silver medal. In 2011, he was part of the British team that won many medals at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled. He won another silver medal as part of the men's eight team.
At the London 2012 Olympics, Greg won his third Olympic medal. At 40 years old, he earned a bronze medal in the men's eight event.
Awards and Personal Life
Greg Searle was given an award called the MBE in 1993. This award was given to him after he won his gold medal at the Barcelona Olympics.
He is also a steward of the Henley Royal Regatta. Greg is married to Jenny, and they have two children, Josie and Adam. His nephew is the cricketer Laurie Evans.
