History of Gretna
Gretna has some interesting historical places! The Gretna Commercial Historic District and Yates Tavern are special spots. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which means they are important historical sites worth protecting.
Sharswood Plantation, a historic farm where tobacco was grown, is also located in Gretna.
The Gretna High School football team has been very successful. They have won five state championships in their division!
