Early Life and Family Background
Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff were born on August 29, 1949. Igor was born 40 minutes before Grichka. Their mother was Maria Kolowrat-Krakowská. Their father was Yuri Bogdanoff, a painter.
The twins grew up mostly with their grandmother, Bertha Kolowrat-Krakowská. She lived in a castle in Saint-Lary, France.
Exploring Science on Television
The Bogdanoff brothers started their careers in television. They hosted several popular shows about science and science fiction.
Temps X - A Journey Through Time
Their first show was Temps X (Time X). It ran from 1979 to 1989. This show introduced many British and American science fiction series to French viewers. These included The Prisoner, Star Trek, and Doctor Who. The show also featured famous musicians.
Rayons X - Discovering the Universe
In 2002, the Bogdanoffs launched a new weekly TV show. It was called Rayons X (X Rays). This show was on the French public channel France 2. In 2004, they also presented a special 90-minute program. It focused on the study of the universe, called cosmology.

Teaching at Megatrend University
In 2005, the Bogdanoffs became professors. They taught at Megatrend University in Belgrade. They were in charge of cosmology studies. They also directed the 'Megatrend Laboratory of Cosmology'.
Personal Lives
The Bogdanoff twins could speak several languages. They knew German, Russian, and English.
Igor Bogdanoff had six children. He had four from his first marriage and two from his second. He married Princess Amélie of Bourbon-Parma in 2009. Grichka was in a relationship when he passed away. He never married and did not have any children.
The Passing of the Twins
The Bogdanoff twins both became very ill in December 2021. They were hospitalized in Paris. Grichka passed away on December 28, 2021. Igor died six days later, on January 3, 2022. They were both 72 years old. Their funeral was held together on January 10, 2022. It took place in Paris, France.
