Grover, Minnesota facts for kids
Grover was once a small community located in Fremont Township within Winona County, Minnesota, in the United States. It is now an abandoned townsite, meaning people no longer live there, and only traces of the past remain.
What Happened to Grover?
Grover had its own post office for a short time, from 1886 to 1902. A post office was very important back then. It meant people could send and receive letters and packages. It also showed that the community was active enough to need its own mail service. When the post office closed in 1902, it often meant that fewer people were living in Grover, or they moved away. Today, Grover is just a historical site, a reminder of a small community that once existed.
