Starting His Career in Puppetry

In 1994, Guðmundur started his own company called Wit Puppets in Iceland. His company created puppets for many different projects. These included TV commercials, theater shows, and other television programs.

Guðmundur was involved in every step of the puppet-making process. He helped create the characters and built the puppets. He also performed some of the puppets himself.

Working on LazyTown

In 1998, Guðmundur joined a company called Lazy Shows. He helped with the show by performing puppets and giving advice. He also designed many of the visual elements for the company.

Later, in 2004, Guðmundur became one of the founders of LTS Garðbær Studios. This company is also known as LazyTown Entertainment. He was a main puppet performer for the show LazyTown. He also provided the voice for the character Ziggy.

Other Creative Projects

Guðmundur has also worked on other exciting projects. In 2010, he was a photographer for the Eurovision Song Contest. This is a big international music competition.

In 2011, he took on a new role. He was the director and producer for the "postcards" of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011. These short videos were shown before each performance. The contest took place in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
