Guayape is a small town, or municipality, located in the western part of Honduras. It is found in the department of Olancho. You can find it west of Salamá, south of Yocón, and north of Concordia.
Guayape is known for its amazing natural beauty. Even though it's not very famous, it has many beautiful landscapes and stunning waterfalls. The land here is also very rich and fertile, making it great for farming.
People and Population in Guayape
Guayape is home to many people. In 2013, a count showed that about 12,671 people lived there. Most of the people in Guayape are Mestizo, which means they have mixed European and Indigenous backgrounds.
There are also smaller groups of Indigenous people, Afro-Hondurans (people of African descent), and White people. This mix of cultures makes Guayape a diverse place.
