In the same year, 1881, a post office opened in Gwynneville. This was a big deal because it made it easier for people to send and receive mail, connecting them to the outside world. Having a post office was a sign that a community was growing and becoming more established.
Education in the Community
For a while, Gwynneville even had its own high school! This was important for local students who wanted to continue their education close to home. However, the high school eventually closed down around 1918. Even without its own high school, Gwynneville continued to be a home for many families.
