Hülya Avşar, born on October 10, 1963, is a famous Turkish-Kurdish actress, singer, and businesswoman. She was also a beauty queen. She is well-known for her many movies and the popular TV series Kadın İsterse. She played important roles like Safiye Sultan in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem and Fatmagül in the movie Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?.

Early Life and Career Beginnings
Hülya Avşar finished high school at Ankara Cumhuriyet Lisesi. She was also a professional swimmer for DSI. In 1982, she and her family moved to Istanbul.
Avşar entered a beauty contest organized by Bulvar magazine. She won first place in this competition. However, her crown was later taken away. This happened because it was found out she had been married for a short time before.
Acting and Singing Career
In 1983, Hülya Avşar started her acting career. Her first movie was Haram. After that, she acted in more than 70 films. She even won the Best Actress award at the 18th Moscow International Film Festival.
Besides acting, she also became a singer. She went on a concert tour across the country. She released eight music albums and two singles. In 2000, Kral TV gave her the Best Female Singer award.
Other Ventures and TV Shows
In 2000, Avşar started writing for the Günaydın newspaper. She was also the editor of Hülya, a monthly magazine. She enjoys playing tennis as a hobby. She even won a championship in the TED 2001 tennis tournament.
Hülya Avşar is also a well-known TV personality. She was a coach and judge for the first two seasons of The Voice. This was from 2011 to 2013. She has also been a judge on Turkey's Got Talent (Yetenek Sizsiniz Türkiye) since 2009. For eight years, she was the editor-in-chief of Hülya magazine. She also created her own luxury brand called "by H" in Turkey.
Personal Life
Hülya Avşar was born in Hasköy, Ardahan. Her father was Kurdish from Höçvan Hasköy, Ardahan. Her mother was Turkish from Edremit. Part of her mother's family came from Crete, Greece. Another part of her mother's family is from the Yörük people.
In 1979, Avşar married Mehmet Tecirli, who was an engineering student. They divorced soon after. In 1997, she married Kaya Çilingiroğlu. They had one daughter named Zehra. They divorced in 2005. She also dated famous football player Tanju Çolak and businessman Sadettin Saran.
