Since then, over 800 students from 18 different countries have learned to cook there. HRC Culinary Academy was the very first cooking school of its kind in Eastern Europe.
What Do Students Learn?
The school has a program called "Culinary Arts." It's a two-year course that helps students get ready for jobs in hotels and restaurants all over the world. The main focus is on learning by doing, which means lots of hands-on practice in the kitchen!
Students at HRC Culinary Academy learn many important skills. They learn how to use knives safely and how to make delicious sauces. They also learn about managing money (called "budgeting") and how to plan exciting menus for restaurants. Expert chefs from different countries teach the classes. Sometimes, famous guest chefs visit to share their knowledge too. All the lessons at HRC Culinary Academy are taught in English.
During their studies, students get two chances to work in real restaurant or hotel kitchens. These are paid jobs, and they can happen in places across Europe and the United States. It's a great way to get real-world experience!
