Haßfurt is a town in Bavaria, Germany. It is the main town of the Haßberge district. You can find it along the Main River, about 20 kilometers east of Schweinfurt and 30 kilometers northwest of Bamberg.
Trains first arrived in Haßfurt in 1852 with the Ludwig's Western Railway. Later, a smaller train line connected Haßfurt to Hofheim from 1892 to 1995. Haßfurt is also known for the Hassfurt Bridge, built in 1867. Many people believe it was the very first cantilever bridge ever built!
