Hailey Langland (born August 2, 2000) is an amazing American snowboarder. She is known for her incredible skills on the slopes. Hailey has won several medals at the Winter X Games, which are like the Olympics for extreme sports.

She first competed in the Winter Olympics when she was just 17 years old. This was at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. She showed off her talents in both big air and slopestyle events. Hailey also competed again at the 2022 Winter Olympics, continuing to represent the United States in snowboarding.

Hailey's Snowboarding Journey

Hailey Langland started her professional snowboarding career at a young age. She quickly became known for her daring tricks and smooth style. Her hard work and dedication helped her rise to the top of the sport.

Early Training and Camps

Hailey spent her summers training hard with the US Snowboard Team. A big part of her training happened at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. This camp is a famous place where many top snowboarders go to improve their skills. In 2018, Hailey even had her own "Signature Session" at High Cascade. This meant she helped teach and inspire younger riders.

X Games Success

Hailey has had great success at the Winter X Games. These games are a huge event for action sports athletes.

First X Games Medal

In 2016, Hailey won a bronze medal in the Slopestyle event at the Winter X Games XX. This was a big achievement early in her career. Slopestyle involves riding down a course with various obstacles like jumps and rails. Riders perform tricks on these features.

Big Air Gold Medal

A year later, at the Winter X Games XXI in 2017, Hailey won a gold medal in the Big Air event. This was a new event at the X Games that year. In Big Air, riders launch off a huge jump and perform complex tricks in the air. Hailey's performance was amazing. She landed a "double cork," which means she did two off-axis rotations in the air. She was the first female rider ever to land this difficult trick in X Games history!

More X Games Medals

Hailey continued to show her talent. In 2019, she earned a silver medal in Slopestyle at the Winter X Games XXIII. This shows her consistent performance and skill in the sport.

Competing on the World Stage

Beyond the X Games, Hailey also competes in major international events. She has participated in the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup series. This series brings together the best snowboarders from around the world. She competed in the 2019–20, 2020–21, and 2021–22 World Cup seasons, always pushing her limits and competing against the best.
