Haim facts for kids
HAIM (say it like 'time' but with an 'H'!) is an American indie pop band. It's made up of three sisters: Alana, Danielle, and Este. Their first album, Days Are Gone, came out on September 27, 2013. A British newspaper called The Guardian thought it was one of the best albums of that year. People often say their music sounds a bit like the famous band Fleetwood Mac.

The Story of HAIM
How the Sisters Started
The three sisters grew up in the San Fernando Valley. This area is part of Los Angeles, California. In 2006, they decided to form their band, HAIM. For about five years, they played music in their local area. On February 10, 2012, HAIM released their first collection of songs. It was called Forever and was available for free download online.
Early Success and Awards
In January 2013, HAIM won a big award. They were named BBC's Sound of 2013. This award helps new bands get noticed. On September 22, 2013, they released a song called "The Wire". It was their fourth single from the Days Are Gone album. "The Wire" became very popular in the UK. It reached number sixteen on the UK Singles Chart. This was their highest-ranking song in the UK at that time.
Performing on TV
On November 23, 2013, HAIM got to perform on a famous TV show. They played their songs "The Wire" and "Don't Save Me" on Saturday Night Live. This helped even more people discover their music.
