Haislan Veranes Garcia, born on March 4, 1983, is a talented Canadian freestyle wrestler. He is known for competing in the 65–66 kg weight class. Haislan has represented Canada in three Olympic Games. He also won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in 2015.

About Haislan Garcia
Haislan Garcia was born in Cuba. In 2004, he moved to Canada to join his family. His parents and younger sister had already moved there. Haislan went to a military school when he was in Cuba. He has a son named Harrison, who is also a wrestler.
Haislan's Olympic Journey
Haislan Garcia competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics, and 2016 Summer Olympics. These are the biggest sports events in the world! In the 2012 Olympics, he made it to the quarter-finals. He wrestled against Tatsuhiro Yonemitsu, who later won the gold medal.
World and Pan American Achievements
Haislan has competed in six World Championships. His best result was finishing fifth in 2010. He also won several medals at the Pan American Championships. He earned silver medals in 2008 and 2009. He then won bronze medals in 2010 and 2011. In 2015, he won a bronze medal at the 2015 Pan American Games held in Toronto, Canada.
