Where Was Hale City Located?
Hale City was in the middle of Hale County, Texas. It was located to the northwest of a city called Hale Center. Hale Center is also close to another city named Plainview, Texas.
How Hale City Became Hale Center
Hale City did not just disappear. In 1891, it joined together with another small community called Epworth. When these two places merged, they formed a new, larger town. This new town was named Hale Center. So, Hale City became a part of Hale Center.
