Why Is It Called Halfway?
The exact reason for the name "Halfway" isn't fully known. There are two main ideas about how it got its name.

- One idea is that it's called Halfway because of its location. It sits right between two creeks, North Cottonwood Creek and South Cottonwood Creek.
- Another idea is that some people moved to this area from a place called Halfway, Missouri. They might have named their new home after their old one.

Post Office and School
