Exploring the Halsey House Museum
The Halsey House has been carefully fixed up to look like it did hundreds of years ago. It's now open for everyone to visit as a museum. Inside, you'll find many items that belonged to the Halsey family. There are also other old things from the 1600s and 1700s.
What You Can See Inside
When you visit, you can see furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. There's also a special clock called a Dominy clock. One very interesting item is a rare Bible from the 1500s. This Bible is called a Breeches Bible because it says Adam and Eve wore "breeches made of fig leaves."

Outside the Halsey House, there are beautiful herb and flower gardens. You can also find an orchard with fruit trees. The Southampton Colonial Society takes care of these lovely outdoor spaces. The Halsey House is also a popular spot for community events. Many different programs are held there for people to enjoy.
