Hamashahr (which means "city of equals" in Persian) is a city located in the country of Iran. It is the main city of the Hamaijan District within Sepidan County, which is part of the Fars Province. Hamashahr is also an important administrative center for the surrounding rural areas.
This city was formed when several smaller villages decided to join together. These villages were called Damqanat, Deh Bid, Dehpagah, Qaleh-ye Abbasabad, and Qaleh-ye Tiskhani. They merged to create the single city of Hamashahr.
