Hamdi Harbaoui's Football Journey

Hamdi Harbaoui started his football career in his home country, Tunisia. He played for a team called Espérance Tunis.

Moving to Belgium

In 2008, Hamdi moved to Belgium. He first joined a team called Mouscron. They loaned him to another team, Visé. He played very well for Visé for two seasons.

After his time at Visé, he signed with OH Leuven. At that time, OH Leuven was playing in the Belgian Second Division. Hamdi quickly became a very important player for them.

Top Scorer and Cup Wins

During the 2010–11 season, Hamdi scored 25 goals for OH Leuven. This made him the top scorer in the second division. His amazing performance helped OH Leuven get promoted to the top league, the Belgian Pro League.

After this success, he joined Lokeren. With Lokeren, he won the 2011–12 Belgian Cup in 2012. He scored the only goal in the final match, which was a huge moment.

He won the Belgian Cup again with Lokeren in the 2013–14 season. That same season, he was also the top scorer in the league, scoring 22 goals in 33 games.

Playing in Qatar and Italy

In July 2014, Hamdi Harbaoui moved to Qatar SC. He signed a two-year contract with the club.

Then, in May 2016, he signed a three-year contract with an Italian team called Udinese Calcio. However, he did not play any official games for Udinese.

Return to Belgium

Just three months after joining Udinese, Hamdi returned to Belgium. In August 2016, he signed a one-year deal with Anderlecht, a very well-known Belgian club.

In January 2017, he was loaned to Charleroi for the rest of that season. After that, he continued to play for various Belgian clubs, including Zulte Waregem and Excel Mouscron.

International Goals for Tunisia

Hamdi Harbaoui also played for the Tunisia national team. He scored four goals for his country. His first two goals came in a friendly match against Rwanda in May 2012. He scored another goal against Equatorial Guinea in a World Cup qualification match in June 2012. His final goal for Tunisia was against Djibouti in an Africa Cup of Nations qualification game in June 2016.
