Hampden, Ohio facts for kids
Hambden is a small, quiet place located in Geauga County, in the state of Ohio, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a village does. Instead, it's part of the larger county's administration.
History
Hambden has a bit of history tied to its name and how people communicated long ago. A post office was set up in this community way back in 1826. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages for many years, until it finally closed in 1906. It's believed that Hambden got its name from another place called Hampden, Massachusetts.
