Han Peixin (Chinese: 韩培信) was an important leader in China. He was born in October 1921 in Xiangshui County, which is in the Jiangsu area of China. He passed away on January 15, 2017.
Leading Jiangsu Province
Han Peixin held very important jobs in his home area of Jiangsu. He was like the main leader, or governor, of Jiangsu Province for one year, from 1982 to 1983. A governor helps make decisions and manage things for all the people living in that province.
After being governor, he became the Communist Party of China Committee Secretary for Jiangsu. This was another very important leadership role within China's main political party. He held this position from 1983 to 1989. In this role, he helped guide the province's development and policies.
National Role in China
Besides leading Jiangsu, Han Peixin also played a part in China's national government. He was chosen as a delegate to the National People's Congress several times. The National People's Congress is a big meeting where leaders from all over China come together. They discuss important laws and make big decisions for the entire country.
