Harald Kaarmann (born December 12, 1901 – died August 19, 1942) was a talented Estonian footballer. He played as a midfielder and was known for his skills on the field.

Harald Kaarmann: A Football Star

Harald Kaarmann was a well-known Estonian football player. He played for the Estonian national team many times. From 1921 to 1926, he played in 17 international matches for his country. When a player plays for their national team, it is called earning a "cap."

He spent most of his football career playing for two main clubs: JK Tallinna Kalev and Tallinna Jalgpalliklubi. He was a key player for both teams.

Playing at the Olympics

In 1924, Harald Kaarmann had a very special experience. He was part of the Estonian team that went to the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. This was a huge honor for him and for his country. Playing in the Olympics is a dream for many athletes around the world.

Winning Championships

Harald Kaarmann was also a champion. He helped his teams win the top football league in Estonia, called the Estonian Top Division.

  • In 1923, he won the championship with JK Tallinna Kalev.
  • In 1926, he won it again with Tallinna JK.

These wins showed how important he was to his teams.

A Difficult Time

Harald Kaarmann's life took a very sad turn. In 1940, the Soviet Union took over Estonia. Because Harald had worked as an Estonian state policeman, he was taken away by the Soviet authorities in the summer of 1941. He was sent to a labor camp far away in Sverdlovsk Oblast. Sadly, Harald Kaarmann passed away there about a year later.
