The Harbourton Historic District is a special area that covers about 7 acres. It includes the community where Harbourton/Rocktown and Harbourton/Mt. Airy Roads meet. This district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 31, 1974.

Important Buildings
The historic district has seven buildings that help tell its story.
- The Old Village Store: The oldest part of this store was built way back in 1768! It was a busy store until 1962. Now, it's a private home.
- The Baptist Church: This church has a unique building style called Carpenter Gothic. It looks a bit like older, grander churches but is made with wood, giving it a charming, detailed look.
