Hari Krishna Devsare (born March 9, 1938 – died November 14, 2013) was a famous Hindi writer from India. He is especially known for writing many wonderful books for children. He loved telling stories that kids would enjoy and learn from.
He received important awards for his work. He got the very first Vatsalya Award for his great contributions to children's books. In 2011, he was also honored with a Life Time Contribution Award by the Sahitya Akademi. This is a big award from India's national academy of letters.
Devsare was born in a place called Nagod, in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

What He Wrote
Hari Krishna Devsare was known for trying new things in his writing. He believed that children's stories should be modern and exciting. He questioned if old tales about kings, queens, and fairies were still the best for kids today.

Devsare worked for 22 years at All India Radio, which is a big radio broadcaster in India. After that, he decided to take an early retirement.
He then started working with Parag magazine. He became the editor of this popular Hindi magazine, which was well-known for its content for children.
His Passing
Hari Krishna Devsare passed away on November 14, 2013. He died in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He is remembered by his wife, Vibha Devsare, his two sons, a daughter, and five grandchildren.
