Harmony, Ohio facts for kids
Harmony is a small, unincorporated community located in Clark County, within the U.S. state of Ohio. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger county or township.
History
Harmony was first planned and laid out on a map in 1832. This process is called "platting." It was given its name because it is located within Harmony Township.
A post office was opened in Harmony in 1851, which helped connect the community with the rest of the country. However, the post office eventually closed down in 1879.
