There are 12 volunteer firefighters who have all completed special training called "firefighter 1 classes." This training teaches them important skills for fighting fires safely and effectively. Plus, two of these firefighters have become state-certified certified first responders. This means they can provide important medical help during emergencies before paramedics arrive. The department is always working to improve safety for the community.
