Harold Ellis, born on October 7, 1970, is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He played as a shooting guard and stands 6 feet 5 inches tall. Even though he wasn't chosen in the NBA draft, he still played for three seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Playing Career
Harold Ellis started his professional basketball journey with the Quad City Thunder in the Continental Basketball Association. After two seasons there, he joined the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA, playing from 1993 to 1995.
Later, he played in Europe for teams like Aris and Apollon Patras in Greece. He then returned to the NBA to play for the Denver Nuggets during the 1997–98 season.
During his time in the NBA, Harold Ellis played in 145 games. He scored a total of 840 points. His best game was on January 14, 1994, when he scored 29 points for the Clippers against the Boston Celtics.
National Team Success
Harold Ellis also played for the U.S. National Team. He helped the team win a gold medal at the 1993 FIBA AmeriCup. This was a big achievement for him and his country.
Coaching and Scouting
After his playing career, Harold Ellis moved into coaching and scouting. He worked for the Atlanta Hawks for six seasons as a minor league coordinator and scout.
In 2008, he became an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons. From 2009 to 2012, he continued to work for the Pistons as a scout. In 2012, Ellis was named the director of pro scouting for the Orlando Magic.
