Harry A. Davis (born January 27, 1957) is an American former basketball player. He played for two seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was part of the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs teams.

Harry Davis's College Basketball Journey
Harry Davis was a talented 6-foot-7 forward from Cathedral Latin High School in Cleveland. He played college basketball at Florida State University from 1974 to 1978. His coach there was Hugh Durham.
College Career Highlights
During his time at Florida State, Harry scored a total of 1,514 points. On average, he scored 14.0 points and grabbed 6.8 rebounds per game. His best season was 1977–78. In that year, he averaged 19.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. He was also named the co-player of the year for the Metro Conference. He shared this honor with Rick Wilson from Louisville. Harry led his team, the Seminoles, to the 1978 NCAA tournament.
Playing in the NBA
After his successful college career, Harry Davis was chosen by his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in the 1978 NBA draft. He was the 33rd player picked overall, in the second round.
Time with the Cavaliers and Spurs
Harry played one season with the Cavaliers. He averaged 4.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per game in 40 games. The next season, he signed a short contract with the San Antonio Spurs. He played 4 games for them, averaging 3.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. These were his last games in the NBA.
Beyond the NBA
After playing in the NBA, Harry Davis continued his basketball career. He played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) until 1985. He was especially known for his time with the Atlantic City Hi-Rollers. He was one of the top scorers in the league in both 1981 and 1982. Harry also played basketball in Europe.
Hall of Fame Recognition
In 1998, Harry Davis was honored for his achievements in basketball. He was inducted into the Florida State University athletic Hall of Fame. This recognized his great contributions to the university's basketball program.
