Harry Miller's Football Journey
Starting His AFL Career
Harry Miller was chosen by the Hawthorn team in the 2003 AFL draft. The AFL draft is like a special event where teams pick young players to join their clubs. Harry was picked as the 25th player overall. He played as a "small forward," which means he was a quick player who tried to score goals for his team.
Playing for Hawthorn
Harry played 14 games for Hawthorn in the 2005 season. He also played four more games in 2006. During his time with Hawthorn, he showed some great skills. In one game against Richmond in 2005, he kicked four goals, which helped his team stay close in a tough match.
Best Game Performance
Earlier in 2005, Harry had one of his best games. He collected 19 "disposals" in a big win against Brisbane. A disposal means a player gets the ball and then kicks or handballs it to a teammate. Getting 19 disposals shows he was very involved in the game.
After the AFL
At the end of the 2006 season, Harry Miller was "delisted" by Hawthorn. This means the club decided not to keep him on their team anymore. After leaving the AFL, he went back to play in the South Australian Football League (SANFL). He joined the Port Adelaide Magpies team, which was his original club before he joined the AFL.

Harry Miller comes from a family with other talented Australian rules footballers. He is the cousin of famous players like Peter Burgoyne, Shaun Burgoyne, and Daniel Wells. These players have also had successful careers in the AFL.
