Early Life and Inspiration
Hasan Salaam began rapping when he was 10 years old. In 1992, he saw a preview for the movie Malcolm X. This movie inspired him to read the Autobiography of Malcolm X, which is a book about the life of Malcolm X. This book had a big impact on him.
