About Hathaway

A Bit of History
Hathaway has an interesting past. It was first established by the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1882. At that time, it was a section stop for the railroad. It was originally named Martin. Just one year later, in 1883, its name was changed. The community was renamed Hathaway to honor General Forrest Henry Hathaway.
Mail and More
Even though Hathaway is a small community, it used to have its own post office. This post office served the area until July 29, 1995. Today, Hathaway still has its own unique ZIP code, which is 59333. A ZIP code helps mail get to the right place.
