Hauʻula (pronounced "how-OO-lah") is a small, quiet community in Hawaii. It's located on the island of Oʻahu, which is part of Honolulu County. The name Hauʻula comes from the Hawaiian words for "red hau." A hau is a type of tree called Hibiscus tiliaceus.

These include Hauʻula Beach Park, ʻAukai Beach Park, Kokololio Beach Park, and Mahakea Beach. Long ago, sugarcane used to grow in the flat areas near the coast.
