The Haudenosaunee women's national lacrosse team plays for the Haudenosaunee Confederacy in international women's lacrosse games. They are currently ranked twelfth in the world by World Lacrosse.
The first Haudenosaunee women's team in many years was formed in 2005. They played in the Cup of Nations lacrosse festival. This "First Nations" team was made up of players aged 15 to 18. They were one of eight international teams.
In 2006, the women's Iroquois team asked the Six Nations Confederacy Council for permission to create an international lacrosse team. In 2008, the Iroquois Confederacy women's team, known as Haudenosaunee, became a full member of World Lacrosse.
In 2021, the Haudenosaunee Nationals group changed how it was set up. The women's team joined the Iroquois Nationals organization. In June 2022, the team officially changed its name to the Haudenosaunee Nationals.
