What Was Hazara District?
The Hazara District was the northernmost part of its division. It covered a large area, about 3,000 sq mi (7,770 km2) (7,800 square kilometers). Imagine a long, narrow shape! It was about 40 mi (64 km) (64 kilometers) wide and stretched for about 120 mi (193 km) (190 kilometers) long.
Where Was It Located?
This district had a special location. It acted like a natural border, separating Kashmir from other independent regions nearby. Its position was very important for travel and trade in the past.
