Headlee is a small, quiet community located in White County, Indiana, in the United States. It is an unincorporated community, which means it does not have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it is part of the larger Cass Township.

A Look Back at Headlee's Past

Headlee got its start many years ago. A post office, which is a place where you can send and receive mail, opened here in 1877. This post office helped people in the community stay connected. It served the area for about 30 years, closing its doors in 1907.

The Headlee family were some of the very first people to settle in this area. They helped build the community from the ground up. Today, Headlee is mostly a residential area, meaning it is a place where people live in homes, rather than having many businesses or factories.

Where is Headlee Located?

Headlee is easy to find because it is right on Indiana State Road 119. It is also a short distance away from Lake Shafer, a popular lake located near the towns of Buffalo and Monticello.
