About Heafford Junction
Heafford Junction got its name from a man named George Heafford. He worked for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad. The community was named in his honor.
Early Days and the Post Office
In March 1898, Heafford Junction opened its own post office. The very first postmaster, who was in charge of the post office, was Warren Slater. This post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed its doors on November 30, 1984.
