Heather Louise McCartney (born See; 31 December 1962) is an artist and potter. She was born in America but is also British. She is the daughter of Linda McCartney and the adopted daughter of Paul McCartney.

Early Life and Family

Heather Louise See was born in Tucson, Arizona, United States. Her mother was Linda Eastman, and her biological father was Joseph Melville See Jr. Her parents separated when she was young.

When Heather was six years old, her mother married Paul McCartney in 1969. Paul McCartney then formally adopted Heather. Her biological father agreed, believing she would have a better life as a McCartney.

Heather has three younger siblings: a sister, Mary, born in 1969; another sister, Stella, born in 1971; and a brother, James, born in 1977. Heather considers Paul McCartney her father, even though her biological father also had a lifelong influence on her.

Appearances in Beatles Films

Heather appeared in the Beatles film Let It Be (1970). She also appeared in the documentary series Get Back (2021).

Artistic Journey

Heather McCartney showed an early interest in art. She began learning about printing at the Photographers' Workshop in Covent Garden. She even won an award for a photo she called "Waterfall."

Later, she went to art school. There, she focused on pottery and design. Heather traveled to Mexico and lived among the native Huichol and Tarahumara tribes. She then moved to Arizona to live with her biological father for a time. Eventually, she returned to England to work as a potter.

Animal Rights and Houseware

Like her parents and siblings, Heather is a vegetarian. She is also very passionate about animal rights. In 1999, Heather launched her own line of houseware products. It was called the Heather McCartney Houseware Collection.
