Helen Francis Hood (born June 28, 1863, died January 22, 1949) was a talented American musician. She was a pianist, a composer who wrote music, and a teacher. Helen was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

Helen started her music studies in Boston. She learned from famous teachers like Benjamin Johnson Lang, J.C.D. Parker, John Knowles Paine, and George Chadwick. To learn even more, she traveled to Berlin. There, she continued her studies with Moritz Moszkowski and Philipp Scharwenka.
