History of Henefer
Henefer was started in 1859. The town got its name from two early settlers, James and William Hennefer. It officially became an incorporated town in 1938.
Geography of Henefer
Henefer covers an area of about 0.9 square miles (2.3 square kilometers). All of this area is land. If you look closely, you can see a large letter H on a hillside in the southwest part of town.
