Henry Card (1779–1844) was an English church leader and writer. He was known for his many books on history, religion, and education.

About Henry Card

Henry Card was born in Egham, a town in Surrey, England, in 1779. He went to a famous school called Westminster School and then studied at Pembroke College at Oxford University, starting in 1797. He earned several degrees from Oxford, showing he was a very dedicated student.

In 1815, Henry Card became the vicar of Great Malvern, a town in Worcestershire. A vicar is a type of priest or minister in charge of a church and its local community. Later, in 1832, he also became the vicar of Dormington in Herefordshire.

Henry Card was also a member of several important groups for smart people. He was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 1820, which is a very old and respected group for scientists. He was also a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, a group interested in history and old things, and the Royal Historical Society. He passed away in Great Malvern in 1844.
