Henry Clinton, 7th Earl of Lincoln (born 1684, died 7 September 1728), was an important English nobleman. He was the older son of Francis Clinton, 6th Earl of Lincoln. Henry became the Earl of Lincoln when his father passed away in 1693.
As an Earl, he joined the House of Lords in 1708. The House of Lords is a part of the British Parliament. Henry was also a Knight of the Garter (KG) and a member of the Privy Council (PC). These were very high honors.
Henry Clinton was connected to powerful people. His brother-in-law was the Duke of Newcastle, a leading politician. Because of these connections, Henry held many important government jobs.
In 1719, he helped start the Royal Academy of Music (1719). This group brought baroque opera to the stage. From 1715 to 1720, he was the Paymaster of the Forces. This job involved managing money for the army.

A famous relative was General Sir Henry Clinton. He was a general during the American Revolutionary War.
