Hercules Wilson was an American politician. He served as a representative for McIntosh County, Georgia in the Georgia House of Representatives. He held this important role from 1882 to 1885.

Hercules Wilson was born in the state of Georgia. He had at least one brother named Anthony Wilson.
Political Career
Before becoming a politician, Hercules Wilson worked as a brickmason. This means he was skilled in building with bricks.
In 1882, Wilson decided to run for office. He wanted to represent McIntosh County, Georgia in the Georgia House of Representatives. He received support from a person named Tunis Campbell. Hercules Wilson won this election.
He ran for re-election in 1884. He won again and served a second term until 1885. During this time, his brother Anthony also won an election. Anthony served in the House alongside Hercules. While working in the House, Hercules Wilson lived with his brother Anthony. They also lived with another African-American legislator named Frasier, who was from Liberty County, Georgia.
