Here Come the Blobbies is a fun children's picture book. It was written and illustrated by Jorge Antonio Tello Aliaga. The book is about cute creatures called Blobbies. These special creatures can "blobbiemorph," which means they can change into many different shapes!

The Blobbies' Adventure

The Blobbies live in a magical place called Blobbieworld. In this world, everything is alive. Even sand, wind, and water can feel, talk, and smile! Five powerful Blobbies rule this world. They are called the Elemental Blobbies: Blobbie Fire, Blobbie Earth, Blobbie Water, Blobbie Air, and Blobbie Void.

New Blobbies and a Big Rule

Blobbie Fire creates seven new Blobbies. These new Blobbies have the colors of the rainbow. They are called the Blobbie Colors. Blobbie Fire gives them one very important rule. They must never wake up the oldest Blobbie, Blobbie Void. The Blobbie Colors live happily and play together.

Breaking the Rule

One day, Blobbie Violet gets bored. It wants to learn new and exciting shapes. It convinces Blobbie Indigo to help. They decide to go into space. They believe Blobbie Void can teach them amazing new shapes. But waking Blobbie Void is a big mistake!

The Hexicones Attack

As soon as Blobbie Void wakes up, it turns into a giant portal. Evil creatures called Hexicones come through this portal. The Hexicones attack with freezing beams of darkness. To save the Blobbie Colors, Blobbie Void quickly sends them away. It transports them to a faraway planet called Earth.

Learning on Earth

On Earth, the Blobbies find a library. They read many books there. This helps them learn lots of new and complex shapes. After a while, they decide it's time to go back. They want to face the Hexicones and save their home.

The Big Battle

Blobbie Void brings the Blobbie Colors back to Blobbieworld. They discover that the Hexicone King has a powerful item. It's called the Hexahedron Crystal. This crystal is the source of all the Hexicones' power.

Blobbie Green makes a brave choice. It changes into a Venus flytrap. This allows it to swallow the dark beams. This gives the other Blobbies a chance. They quickly change into Hexicones themselves. Then, they launch a surprise attack!

Blobbie Indigo wins the battle. It changes into a fire-breathing batsnake. It crushes the evil crystal. Without the Hexahedron Crystal, the Hexicones are freed. They turn back into ordinary Blobbies, no longer evil.

Educational Fun

The book also helps kids learn. The back of the book has a special chart. This chart teaches children about many different kinds of shapes. It also explains the personalities of each Blobbie Color. It shows how different parts of us, like our thoughts, feelings, and actions, are connected.

Other Cool Stuff

Here Come the Blobbies also inspired other fun items. An award-winning line of toys was created. They were called the Blobbiemorphers. The book also came with a free adventure CD. This CD included:

  • The Blobbie's Shape Challenge game
  • Early animations from the book
  • An interactive personality chart
  • A fun song

There was also bonus material for an "Icelands Adventure."
