Hester Jackson-McCray (born May 19, 1961) is an American politician from the state of Mississippi. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She serves as the representative for District 40 in the Mississippi House of Representatives. She won this position by defeating the person who held the job before her, Ashley Henley.
Hester Jackson-McCray made history. She was the first African American to represent DeSoto County in the Legislature. She also became one of only three African Americans to represent a legislative district that was mostly white since the time of Reconstruction.
