Discovering the Hibbertia arcuata
What Does It Look Like?
The Hibbertia arcuata grows upright, like a small bush. It usually reaches a height of about 0.3 to 1.3 meters (that's about 1 to 4 feet tall). When it blooms, usually between July and October, it shows off beautiful yellow flowers.
Where Does It Live?
This unique shrub is found in several parts of Western Australia. You can spot it scattered across the northern Wheatbelt region. It also lives in the central Mid West and western Goldfields-Esperance areas.
Its home stretches from Leonora in the east to Meekatharra in the north. You can also find it near Geraldton in the west and Koorda in the south. It likes to grow on hills and plains. It prefers sandy or loamy soils that are found over a type of rock called laterite.
