Hideaki Tominaga (富永 英明, Tominaga Hideaki, born August 27, 1976) is a former professional Japanese football player. He played as a forward and later as a defender.

Hideaki Tominaga's Football Journey

Hideaki Tominaga was born in Fukui Prefecture, Japan, on August 27, 1976. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Kokushikan University, he started his professional career.

Starting Out in the J.League

In 1999, Tominaga joined Nagoya Grampus Eight, a team in the top Japanese league, the J1 League. Even though he was a forward, he didn't get to play many games in his first two years.

New Teams and New Roles

In 2001, Hideaki moved to Sagan Tosu, a team in the J2 League. Here, something interesting happened: he started as a forward but later became a center back (a defender) in late 2001. This showed he was a versatile player!

The next year, in 2002, he joined another J2 club, Shonan Bellmare. He played many matches for them as a center back. In 2003, he went back to Nagoya Grampus Eight, but he still didn't play much.

Finding His Place on the Field

In 2004, Tominaga moved to Ventforet Kofu, another J2 team. This is where he really shined! He became a regular player, often playing as a defensive midfielder. This position helps protect the defense and start attacks.

In 2005, he joined Yokohama FC. He played in many different positions, often coming in as a substitute to help the team. In 2006, Yokohama FC won the J2 League championship and moved up to the J1 League. However, Hideaki didn't play as much that season.

Later Career and Retirement

From 2007 to 2010, Hideaki Tominaga played for TDK (which later became Blaublitz Akita) in the Japan Football League. He continued to play for the team until he decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2010 season.
