High Point is a small community located in Walker County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. It's known as a "Census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's a specific area where many people live, but it doesn't have its own official city government like a town or city would. Instead, it's managed by the county.
History of High Point
The community of High Point got its name because it's located on a high spot of land, close to the famous Lookout Mountain.
A post office was opened in High Point in 1856. This post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed down in 1922.
