Hilary Kirsten Lindh (born May 10, 1969) is an American former alpine ski racer. She was a champion in the downhill event. Hilary won a silver medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics. She also became a world champion in 1997.

Becoming a Ski Champion
Hilary Lindh was born in Juneau, Alaska. She started learning to ski and race at Eaglecrest Ski Area. When she was only 14, Hilary joined the U.S. Ski Team.
By age 16, she made history. Hilary became the first American to win a World Junior Championships downhill title. This showed how talented she was at a young age.
Olympic and World Championship Success
Hilary represented the U.S. in three Winter Olympics. At the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, France, she won a silver medal. This was for the downhill event.
In 1994, Hilary won her first World Cup race. This was a special win, as it was the 100th World Cup victory for an American skier. She had three World Cup wins during her career.
Hilary also shone at the 1997 World Championships. She was the only American to win a medal there. She captured the gold medal in the women's downhill in Sestriere, Italy.

Hilary Lindh competed in World Cup racing for 11 years. During this time, she achieved three victories. She also reached the podium five times. A podium finish means placing in the top three.

Today, Hilary works as an environmental consultant. She is married and has a daughter. She lives in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. Her husband manages mountain operations at the Mt. Sima ski area.
In 2005, Hilary Lindh was honored for her achievements. She was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame. She is also the granddaughter of famous people: performer Connie Boochever and judge Robert Boochever.
