Hillside is a small community in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. It's known as a "populated place," which means it's an area where people live but isn't officially a city or town. The name Hillside comes from its location on a hillside near Date Creek. A post office was first opened here on July 31, 1888. Hillside is about 3,858 feet (1,176 meters) above sea level.

State law requires Prescott High School to accept students from nearby rural primary school districts like Hillside. The bus ride to Prescott can take about an hour.
As of 2015, the Yavapai County Education Service Agency helps the district with much of its office work. This means the district only needs to hire two part-time staff members. This helps keep administrative costs lower for each student.
