From there, the creek flows generally towards the south and southwest. It passes by Hallsville and then goes through the eastern part of Columbia. In Columbia, the creek flows under major roads like US Route 63 and I-70.

After leaving Columbia, Hinkson Creek turns more towards the west-southwest. It continues its flow until it meets Perche Creek. This meeting point is about 558 feet above sea level.
